Toad The Wet Sprocket Bronx Concert reviews
Smashing Pumpkins skilled and talented artists.
"It was cool to hear Billy Corgan's uniquely recognizable voice live. Even though I haven't really listened to Toad The Wet Sprocket for a very long time, I have a greater appreciation for the band's guitar work after seeing them live as well. If I remember correctly, they did sing three covers. Yes, I would have stayed for more even on this Monday night, they played over 3 hours. I was so enthralled with the mesmerizing video kaleidoscopes behind the show at one point, I couldn't tell you which song they were playing. When Billy started one guitar intro, I was like, what song, Oh wait, this is Landslide, cool. When I hear bands cover other's great works, I really just want to ask them how they choose the songs or bands they cover in a concert when their own resume of hits could satisfy their ticket buyers. Yes, they played over 3 hours and yes, they did sing three covers. It is great to hear great talent make someone else's song uniquely theirs for the night. Great memories from the past, and new memories with the concert, and now they are back on my playlist."
